Our routes are designed that there is as little as contact as possible
with cars as you will be on quiet Normandy lanes or the Chemin Vert,
(converted railway lines for pedestrians, horses and bicycles -
no motorised vehicles), for the majority of your holiday.
The gentle
clip clop of your horse and bird
song, as your wagon gently rolls along will be all you can
hear at times, just imagine your stresses flowing away as you travel
walk in unison with your horse.
Our stops in the lovely villages
and towns along the route are chosen with care to include
a beautiful Chateaux and other
suitable places with full facilities like showers, toilets, cafes
and restuarants.
Your first day will be spent with us for training purposes which
will include handling, harnessing and un-harnessing, (yoking & un-yoking),
your horse. In addition, instruction and practical experience with
driving your horse-drawn caravan
are also given on first day so that you will be confident driving
out the following morning. The first night accommodation will be
spent in your caravan on site at "Haras
Du Marais", home of "Coast to Coast Roulottes", you have
the choice to spend the evening with us and other guests for dinner,
(Barbeque), or experience the local cuisine in nearby Carentan or
other local villages'.
The above first day and night at "Haras
Du Marais", does not apply for our 3 day route as you will
be with us for the first day for training after which you will begin
your holiday in the afternoon.
Well behaved dogs are welcome to come and share this unique holiday
with you at no extra charge.
